When you have a hectic schedule with no time for costly facials and parlor visits, these masks turn out to be handy. Dream of flawless skin comes true by simple ingredients available at home and the best out of all is HONEY.
Yes, honey not just helps you lose weight but also helps your skin look flawlessly healthy too!
Here are some do it yourself face masks, that you can prepare at your convenience with honey and a handful of other ingredients.
P.S. Always do a patch test before trying any mask straight on your face.
Mask 1: For Fresh, Clean and Moisturized Skin
- Organic Honey
Take a bowl and mix 1 teaspoon of honey and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon. Apply it to your washed and towel dried face. Keep it for 15 minutes and let the goodness of honey soak into your skin. Wash with lukewarm water. Pat face dry. You can leave your face for a day without putting any moisturizer but if you feel dryness, apply a bit of moisturizer.
Mask 2: For Glowing Skin
- Aloe Vera Gel
Mix 1 teaspoon of honey with 1/2 teaspoon aloe vera gel and 1 teaspoon of milk along with a pinch of turmeric to form a thick paste and apply on your face and neck. Keep it for 15-20 minutes. Wash with lukewarm water. Pat face dry.
Mask 3: For Reducing Acne
- Coconut Water
Mix 1 teaspoon of everything to form a consistent paste (a little too liquidy to call it a paste !!!). Apply using a cotton ball and keep it for around 10-15 minutes. Wipe your face to remove it using a cotton ball and then wash it with lukewarm water. This face mask can be applied daily to see significant difference in reduction of acne naturally.
Mask 4: For Removing Acne Spots
- Cinnamon powder
Take a pinch of cinnamon powder and add 2-3 drops of honey to it, sufficient enough to make a paste out of it. Apply this paste to the spot area and leave it overnight. Wash it in the morning with lukewarm water. Continue until the spot vanishes. You can see significant results in 2-3 applications.
Mask 5: Scrub Mask for Removing Blackheads
- Powdered Black Pepper
Mix 1 teaspoon of yogurt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper powder and 1 teaspoon of honey to form a thick paste. Apply on your face and keep it for 2-3 minutes. Scrub for 1 minute before washing it off. Don’t keep it for too long. P.S. This can’t be used as a regular scrub as it might cause burning of the skin. If skin burns, remove it immediately or better do a patch test before applying.
